Bone Mineral Density
Bone mineral density (BMD) is a measure of how strong your bones are. It shows how much calcium and other minerals are packed into your bones.
When the density is low, the bones become weaker and more likely to break. BMD is usually checked with a quick, low-radiation scan called a DEXA test, which helps doctors diagnose conditions like osteoporosis and monitor bone health over time.
